La tendencia a digitalizar todo en el área de la Salud está llevando a sumarse a la Transformación Digital
“Uno de los desafíos en el área de la salud es incorporar cada vez más la tecnología en ella y, principalmente, mejorar la experiencia del paciente”, es uno de los puntos que destaca Lucas Samyn, Ingeniero de Productos y Aplicaciones de Furukawa Electric LatAm.
El especialista agrega que para desarrollar mejor temas como la telemedicina, los registros electrónicos de los pacientes y el monitoreo en tiempo real, es necesario que las redes sean estables y seguras, no solamente en los datos sino también ante peligros como el fuego.
Y detalla como ejemplo el monitoreo en tiempo real, con los resultados médicos en línea, lo que permitiría disminuir costos operativos y mejorar la calidad del servicio que recibe la persona en la entidad sanitaria. “¿No sería bueno que una persona pudiera acceder a su historial médico desde cualquier parte del mundo?”
Para llegar a esa situación es necesario utilizar tecnologías que sean escalables, estables y lo más adecuadas para la conectividad. Es decir, la salud requiere de una Transformación Digital para poder cumplir con todas las expectativas de un centro médico, donde los equipos estén conectados en red y la asignación de turnos, los exámenes, la telefonía y otros servicios formen parte de ese entramado.
Samyn recalca que el desarrollo de soluciones como la tecnología Laserway de Furukawa, que permite una arquitectura multipunto, redundan en disminuir gastos operacionales, en poseer soluciones con estándares internacionales de calidad, en relación al cumplimiento de las reglamentaciones existentes; a la vez que tienen baja latencia (tiempo que tarda en transmitirse un paquete de datos dentro de la red, factor clave en las conexiones a Internet) y están diseñadas para un alto ancho de banda.
