Bajo el slogan “Deja la cartera, trae el celular”, República Dominicana dispone de la primera cuenta bancaria 100% digital, que se abre y se maneja sin visitar una sucursal, y que marca la entrada al país de las tendencias tecnológicas más actuales del sector bancario mundial.
La iniciativa “Reset” (www.reset.do) es impulsada por el Banco de Ahorro y Crédito Fihogar, con una trayectoria establecida desde 1977. A través de la aplicación móvil es posible el envío de dinero de persona a persona, hacer pagos rápidos y seguros con código QR, transferencias bancarias desde el móvil, así como retiros y depósitos en puntos físicos.
Una característica especial de “Reset”, como un instrumento de pago seguro de tipo tarjeta prepagada virtual, es que todas las operaciones que genera son completamente gratis, sin costos por apertura, mantenimiento, renovación, transferencias a usuarios de la plataforma o pagos a comercios.
Al momento de la apertura, la solución móvil concede la oportunidad de hacer transacciones por hasta RD$15,000 mensuales, que el cliente puede subir a RD$45,000 solicitándolo desde el APP. Desde food trucks hasta propinas son el tipo de servicios que es posible pagar con Reset.
La entidad bancaria suscribió un acuerdo con el Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) para que la universidad opere como el primer Ecosistema Universitario Reset, donde se utilice el medio de pago en los negocios que operan dentro del recinto y en el entorno.
Alan Muñoz, vicepresidente ejecutivo del Banco Fihogar, informó que para abrir una cuenta “Reset” el cliente debe poseer cédula de Identidad emitida en el país, y ser mayor de 18 años de edad.
“Basta con suministrar los datos personales requeridos para la apertura de la cuenta, realizar un autoretrato (selfie) desde la cámara del celular en que esté instalada la App Reset, y firmar electrónicamente el contrato”, indicó. Al concluir el proceso de apertura y validación electrónica de datos la cuenta queda inmediatamente habilitada.
